Lindsay Lohan's father has weighed in to the debate over the actress' sexuality, saying her same-sex romance is obvious.
Michael Lohan contradicted his estranged wife's claim that the Mean Girls star was straight, though he's not happy about it.
Responding to photos of Lohan kissing DJ Samantha Ronson in Cannes, published last week, Michael told Us Weekly that the couple's "[romance] is evident to anyone with half a brain".
Lindsay's mother, Dina, and sister, Ali, have both recently denied speculation about the actress' Sapphic orientation.
"They're best friends. They're just friends. It's pathetic what people say," Ali said in an interview to promote her mother's TV show, Living Lohan.
Dina said: "It's so silly. We actually laugh about it now. It really does hurt ... but you develop a thick skin. You have to ignore it."
Nonetheless, Michael Lohan is not overjoyed to see photos of his famous daughter in lesbian lip-locks splashed all over the tabloids.
"Just like the [topless] Marilyn Monroe spread, Linds is my daughter and there are just some things a father doesn't want to see or hear, regardless of whether they are true or false.
"[Lindsay] is a big girl, and she can make her own life choices. Then it is between her and God."
He went on to make pointed comments about Dina's relationship with the media.
"Maybe [Lindsay's] mother's life revolves around the tabloids and reports, but mine doesn't. I am into setting a good example and doing good things that don't deceive or exploit my kids.
"But I will say this: While we were a family, you never even saw or heard a negative thing about any of us. But since the separation, look at everything that has happened!"
