RIHANNA [UMA]
I’ve been kinda slow to catch onto Rihanna because she’s been all over the radio like a rash. We’d all be familiar with the classy RnB hotness of ‘Umbrella’, the flash dance of ‘Don’t Stop the Music’, the stomping brutality of ‘Breakin’ Dishes’, the raw rock punch of ‘Shut Up and Dance’ and the sweet soul of ‘Hate That I Love You’ with Neyo.
Now this pint-sized hit maker has released a duet with Maroon 5, ‘If I Never Seen Your Face Again’, and the delicate balladry of ‘Take a Bow’, as featured on this reloaded version of Good Girl Gone Bad.
Rihanna is the nu-breed of RnB pop, and a role model for others struggling to maintain their vocal credentials. She actually sings. What a welcome change.
