ROMY BLACK [LEVEL TWO MUSIC]
The Aussie onslaught continues unabated with club music continuing to feature highly on the new release local lists each week. Though we all recognise and accept Melbourne as the centre of the disco universe, those pesky Sydneysiders are still trying (in vain, may I add) to steal our clubbing crown. Anyway, we’ll give credit where it’s due and congratulate DJ producer Romy Black on his second single release. Featuring the robotic vocal blandness of singer Lucia incessantly repeating “do it at the disco”, this track is a dancefloor soundtrack designed for prancing poseurs. A range of self-made remixes beef up the underfed frame into something substantial enough to get the speakers heaving.
