elton-john-250.jpgThe Territory Government is enticing Elton John fans and music lovers to visit Darwin for a truly unique travel experience.

The Minister for Tourism, Kon Vatskalis, said the government has begun a national promotion encouraging Australians to come to Darwin to see Elton John’s concert and also experience an inspirational travel adventure.

“We’re offering the perfect holiday package – a concert by one of the world’s greatest performers and a holiday in the Top End,” Vatskalis said.

Territory Discoveries - an NT Government Business Division - has developed a travel package that includes concert tickets, hotel accommodation, car rental, and crocodile-themed day tours coinciding with the Elton John concert on 17 May at Marrara Stadium.

“We’re advertising this package within a promotion page on the Territory Discoveries website, and will also promote it in digital media advertising and print advertising in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.”

A special Elton John concert flyer promoting the travel package is also being created for distribution within retail travel stores and at trade activities.

Additionally, the NT Government is looking at opportunities to promote Elton John travel packages in Singapore, targeting those in Asia who miss out on tickets to the local concert planned for early May.
